I miss my hometown that's why I am making this blog to share with those who love Dumangas like I do and to those who want to know more about this small town in the province of Iloilo.
Although the first few years of my childhood was in Antipolo (until 7 years,to be precise), I literally and figuratively lived and grew up in Dumangas. This was where I spent my elementary years of education, and where our reunion batch gathered for this year's fiesta parade.

Near the school is our parish church, St. Agustin, so named after our patron saint. I went to this church during my childhood years to attend Flores de Mayo and to serve as a choir member in my teenage years.
If this church looks old to you, wait and see this particular church which is the first church in the entire Philippines, created by the Spanish friars in 1566. This was where we spent our college retreat before we graduated.

Dumangas is also proud of its sea foods products like prawns, talaba, bangus and many more.
In fact, during our 20th reunion last May 2012, section IV- Humility gathered at Joy-Joy's sea food restaurant along the Coastal Road and enjoyed the food there.
No matter where I spend the remaining years of my life, I will always look forward to the days when I will go back to my hometown; whether for a short visit ....or perhaps to stay for good......
